Zhejun Huang is a research assistant professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech).  He obtained his PhD in mathematics in 2017 from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia.  He was a postdoctoral fellow at UNSW and Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), Chinese Academy of Sciences.  His research interests are public safety and emergency management, disaster risk analysis, disaster response for decision making, disaster risk reduction and management, decision making and control for autonomous vehicles, and reaction-diffusion models.  Dr. Huang has published more than ten papers in international high-level journals and conferences.
