The Department of Statistics and Data Science successfully held the “2020 Annual Strategic Planning and Development Seminar” and visited Huizhou University

On 13th-15th November 2020, the Department of Statistics and Data Science (the Department of STAT-DS) held the “2020 Annual Strategic Planning and Development Seminar” in Huizhou, and conducted an academic symposium with the Huizhou University (HU). There were more than 30 faculty members from the Department of STAT-DS and the HU attended the symposium.

Researchers from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Northwestern University have integrated and analyzed new and large-scale mentor-mentee relationship data, scientific publications, and scientific awards data.

In the afternoon of October 15, 2019, Prof. Jinchao Xu from the Pennsylvania State University was invited to give a lecture entitled "Deep Learning and Scientific Computing".
